Lauren loved baking from age 3 and learned from one of the best — her mother Maxine. 40 years later she has built a career out of that love.
As a prominent DC Pastry Chef, Lauren has been featured in Bon Appetit, The Washington Post Sunday Magazine and the Huffington Post.
Her newest venture Aspen Street Cakes was created in response to her children, nieces and nephews imaginative and ever more complicated cake requests.
A self taught cake decorator, Lauren enjoys taking a creative idea from a child’s imagination and turning it into a cake!
Lauren resides in Washington, DC with her husband Kevin and their three children.
